Nội dung:


Bộ phim được dựng trên một câu truyện có thật của tác giả chuyên viết truyện viễn tưởng Taku Mayumura.

Nhà văn chuyên viết truyện viễn tưởng Sakutaro (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi) và
nhân viên ngân hàng Setsuko (Yuko Takeuchi) gặp nhau khi còn học trung
học. Hai người yêu nhau và tiến tới hôn nhân. Trong suốt khoảng thời
gian đó, hai người luôn ở bên nhau và Setsuko luôn ủng hộ cho sự nghiệp
của chồng cũng như là độc giả trung thành nhất của Sakutaro.

Một hôm Setsuko bị đau bụng và khi đến bệnh viện cô được chuẩn đoán là
mắc bệnh ung thư ruột. Bệnh tình của cô ngày một phát triển và Setsuko
không còn sống được quá năm nữa. Để cho Setsuko không lo nghĩ đến bệnh
tật và sống vui vẻ trong những ngày tháng còn lại, mỗi ngày Sakutaro đã
viết cho cô 1 câu chuyện khiến cho cô cười.

Và như một phép màu, những câu chuyện của Sakutaro giúp cho Setsuko
chống chọi với căn bệnh lâu hơn cả bác sĩ dự đoán, những câu chuyện cũng
ngày một nhiều thêm. Cho đến một ngày...
